Frequently Asked Questions
The simplest way to start is by getting in touch to book a complimentary 20-minute introductory phone call. This gives us the chance to discuss what you are experiencing, answer any initial questions you may have, and decide together whether my approach is the right fit for your needs before booking a full session.
Our first 50-minute session is a gentle, relaxed opportunity to talk through your current difficulties in more depth. We will explore your background, what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with; we work entirely at your own pace.
I work with individual adults (aged 18 and over). Alongside my specialist focus in loss and bereavement, fertility challenges, IVF, pregnancy loss, and living with chronic illness, I support clients working through general anxiety, stress, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and low self-esteem.
Face-to-face sessions take place in a quiet, private therapy room at 1a Ickenham Road, Ruislip, HA4 7BT. The practice is easily accessible for clients located across Ruislip, Ickenham, Pinner, Northwood, Northwood Hills, Hatch End, and Rickmansworth, with convenient local parking and public transport links nearby.
Online therapy is conducted via a secure, confidential video link across the UK. You will receive a link before each session, and you can join from the comfort and privacy of your home, office, or any quiet space where you feel safe to speak openly without distractions.
Individual sessions are £85 for 50 minutes, for both in-person and online appointments. In-person sessions in Ruislip are available on Thursdays (13:00 – 19:00, last session at 18:00) and Fridays (15:00 – 18:00, last session at 17:00). Online sessions take place on Wednesdays (10:00 – 18:00).
Because every individual is unique, there is no fixed number of sessions. Some clients find that short-term therapy (around 6 to 12 sessions) provides the clarity and coping tools they need, while others prefer open-ended therapy to explore deeper life patterns. We review our work together regularly so you always remain in control.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, I ask for at least 48 hours notice. This allows me to offer the time slot to another client who may be waiting for an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may still be charged at the standard session fee.
Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of safe and ethical therapy. Everything discussed in our sessions remains strictly confidential. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere strictly to their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
Integrative counselling means I combine different therapeutic approaches—chiefly person-centred therapy and psychodynamic insights—rather than applying a rigid, one-size-fits-all model. This allows us to focus on your immediate emotional needs while understanding how past experiences, relationships, and repeating patterns may be affecting you today.
